My Food Review  I Located it at :  1 6, Commerce House, Next to Trishna Restaurant, Rope Walk Lane, Opp. Kala Ghoda Cafe, Fort, Mumbai Visited on 02July, 2014 Cuisine Type :  Desserts, Bakery A   luxury French boutique patisserie opened on 24th January, 2014 by the owner Parthesh Patel and  his wife Chef Sanjana Patel who learned this art from Ecole Grégoire Ferrandi, one of the finest French pastry schools in the world  . They have a bakery  in Chandivali (Andheri East) where these finest desserts are baked. Ambience & Area  : At the ground level, a 10-12 seating space which was bright and fresh ambience. Wooden seating on one side and a dessert display on the other side which elaborated well each dessert. The picture frames of food photography added the charm to this place which   is elegantly decorated with minimalist and modern interiors in tones of black, white and grey. There was a door which was the most co...

Pronto

Location : Next to Eros Cinema,  Churchgate Ambiance : When it comes to Pizzas and Pastas the aromas spreads out and all over the place nearby.. You can never resist the herbs and bread getting baked. The entrance is a glass door with a poster of the food menu and few delivery menus.. It is a decent furnished place with a six - seater in front of the Kitchen Door at the ground level and with 9 four - seaters on the first level. The walls are in white and one wall is red which has 3 Wall Frames of CST, Taj Mahal Palace & Towers and the third was of Food Grains. The Tables & Chair are Wooden comfortable but the tables were really low. It would be difficult for a tall person to sit as he would have to bend too much to relish food. This Outlet is bigger, decent and spacious than the ones at Tardeo & Bandra which are merely a hole in the wall. The cash counter is on the first floor which has a collage of food options available here. There are yellow flush lights and head l...

Out of the Blue

My Review on Out of the Blue Cuisine Type : Continental. European, Italian Ambience : Out of the blue is one of the good food places i look upon at khar for a lovely authentic continental dinner in open air with soft music in the background. The place is really charming especially in the evenings. i do not like the ac section as much coz i find it too  claustrophobic .  Food :It needs to include more variety in appetizers. The smoked cottage cheese with  vege  barceque served with a portion of  Mexican  rice is really tasty, they serve good risotto i.e mushroom procinni had a perfect blend of cheese with mild taste of white wine and mushrooms also ginger ale the house ice tea is very refreshing. The virgin pina colada was having too much flavour of coconut and was too thin and extra sweet.  Offers : I recommend not to go for the current offer if you are planning to which says it serves on da menu of 10 yrs back. There was hardly any...

Two One Two Bar and Grill

My Food Review on  Two One Two Bar and Grill I Located it at : 12 A, Ground Floor, Hornby Vellard Estate, Opposite Nehru Centre,  Worli , Mumbai Cuisine Type : Italian, Mediterranean Two One Two Bar and Grill - is Opposite Nehru Planetarium, Worli. In the address it shows Nehru Center which can also be mistaken as Nehru Science Center, Worli. This should be definitely rectified in the posted address.  I wished to visit here since a long time and finally did. I had booked a table of 7.45 pm. The entire restaurant was empty at this time. It felt as if i had booked the entire restaurant for myself. It was a warm welcome. We had a choice to select our table but an entourage of waitstaff escorted us to our plush sofa chairs from where the entire restaurant could be seen.  Area & Ambience : The area is approximately 4,000 sq ft. The entrance had greens around and there were numbers on the wall around the door area. When i entered it was my favourite caliginous ...

Vicinia

My Food Review on Vicinia I Locate it at :  Ground Floor, Chinoy Mansion, Near Gangar Opticians, Kemps Corner , Mumbai Cuisine Type : European, American A restaurant located at Kemps Corner when we entered the restaurant, there was no one to greet us.  Ambience & Area : At the ground level there is a dessert display with few tables & the Bar. Mezzanine floor where there is a low soft looking ceiling in black but isn't and one has to bend and go ahead which makes one feel a little uncomfortable. If avoided you surely get a bang on your head just like me unknowingly. The limited space has been well utilized with eight tables for four having both sofa & chair on each and few 2 seaters. Its caliginous ambience with yellow dim lights hold on the charm with shades of the Logo which is Black & white is used all over. There are artworks of places in South Mumbai on one wall & the other wall is left untouched with red baked bricks finish. Looking at the ambi...

Bora Bora, Andheri

My Food Review on Bora Bora I Located it at  :   Oberoi Chambers 1, Opposite Tanishq Showroom, Off New Link Road,  Andheri West , Mumbai Cuisine Type :  Continental, Lebanese, Malaysian, Chinese & Indian Ambience : A very Casual, caliginous ambience.. Best to go on a weekend.. The lights are dim yellow . There are screens all around the place.. It has a rustic, woody decor.. On the sides the seating has sofas and comfortable chairs & in the middle section it has high tables with high bar chairs all wooden which adds on to the charm.. The only hitch is the a/c temperature is too low coz of which the food gets cold Music : They have good music.. till 9.30 they music is soft.. but after that the DJ takes over and its in full swing that ... I loved the music here.. it keeps to lively.. you feel like dancing.. they have a mixture of trance, dance, house, commercial, lounge music. Food : There are 5 sections.. basically asian cuisine.. Continental, Lebanese...

Ziya, Trident

The Decadent Michelin starred Meal   I Located it at : The Oberoi,  Nariman Point , Mumbai Cuisine Type : North Indian Ziya - A restaurant i had heard a lot about is twice Michelin-starred Chef Vineet Bhatia - the first Indian chef to be awarded a Michelin star.  Ambience : The interiors have been carefully designed to reflect the name. I got one of the best table from which i could watch the entire queen's necklace and the sea shining golden in sun from the tall glass windows. We got an authentic special Indian feeling with such an ambience. The tables were spaced out properly for enough privacy. Food : International ingredients are paired with the tastes of traditional India, resulting in modern preparations with bold flavours, presented in a contemporary style.  I decided to have lunch when the restaurant week India was going on and i had booked a table. Upon arrival, due to summer and to beat the heat we were greeted with aam panna shot which gave m...
