My Food Review on Bora Bora
I Located it at  :  Oberoi Chambers 1, Opposite Tanishq Showroom, Off New Link Road, Andheri West, Mumbai

Cuisine Type : Continental, Lebanese, Malaysian, Chinese & Indian

Ambience : A very Casual, caliginous ambience.. Best to go on a weekend.. The lights are dim yellow . There are screens all around the place.. It has a rustic, woody decor.. On the sides the seating has sofas and comfortable chairs & in the middle section it has high tables with high bar chairs all wooden which adds on to the charm.. The only hitch is the a/c temperature is too low coz of which the food gets cold

Music : They have good music.. till 9.30 they music is soft.. but after that the DJ takes over and its in full swing that ... I loved the music here.. it keeps to lively.. you feel like dancing.. they have a mixture of trance, dance, house, commercial, lounge music.

Food : There are 5 sections.. basically asian cuisine.. Continental, Lebanese, Malaysian, Chinese & Indian.. We had ordered from the continental section.. Nachos with a selection of beans/ corn.. we ordered it with beans.. the tortilla chips were crispy tasty and the plate was bedded wid mexican kidney beans which were very tasty as one doesnt require any other add-on as it has a great taste. I expected the nachos to be topped wid a lot of melted cheese but it was really very less.. Cheese lovers might get disappointed.. Next we ordered was Chicken Char Grilled - It was a marinated Spiced Chicken Grilled in a clay Oven flamed with red wine garlic pepper sauce and was served with Spaghetti, Sauted Veggies & French Fries. The Fries & Spaghetti has become cold when served. But the chicken was juicy tender & tasty. Lastly we called for Veg Baked Au Gratin - Brocoli, Cauliflower, Carrot, Baby Corn cooked in white sauce & baked which is served with sauted veggies, french fries & garlic butter rice. The baked Au Gratin was was served less salty but baked perfectly. 

Hospitality : The Butlers/ Servers wore very casual attire something similar to rappers T-shirt , cap & 3/4's (Shorts)... They were very friendly... We were served well.. When we order it takes a little more time than required to get it served on our tables.. 

Overall Good Experience. Cost is Moderate.

Walking down the lane of Zaveri Bazaar you will see many Bhagat Tarachands with a K or R or G but I chose to visit B Bhagat Tarachand (BBT). Started almost 40 years back by Shri Tarachand Chawla from Karachi, Pakistan who had moved to India after the partition. He started his business from a refugee camp where he cooked sabzi and roti. He directly served the sabzi over the roti on streets and where political rallies were held. Devki (by his wife's name) was the first restaurant in this lane where Shri Tarachand distributed food to the traders on credit (chopdi system) who were his regular customers and couldn't pay immediately. He was so generous that even if people did not have money he happily served them food. He wanted people to not starve and have fresh home style food so to give him honour people started calling him "Bhagat" A Lane of Zaveri Bazaar Ambience and Staff: B Bhagat Tarachand which opened with only a ground floor in the New Year

Phulrani - The Joy Ride

‘Mathe’  means ‘top’ and ‘raan’ means ‘forest’. Thus the name ‘Matheran’ means ‘forest on top’ which is 2,500 feet above the sea.  I have been here a number of times in childhood, not in monsoons though but each time I visit it makes me fall in love with the place. It's another getaway destination for Mumbaikars just 110 kms away and so we decide to do this in monsoons. Somewhere in the midst of my walk One of the reasons may be is that it's an eco-sensitive region and one of those rare places in India where vehicles are not allowed. We cannot imagine life without vehicles today. You need to park your car at Dasturi Naka. We wanted an economic trip so we chose the train-ride from CST to Neral. Better to get done with your nature calls at the station toilet itself as you will not find any on your way for the next 1.5 hours. Jade Raven!!

 Refreshing mocktails The Tasting Tummy off to Thane City, reaches Jade Raven at Panch Pakhadi area which is 10 minutes away from Thane West Railway station. A restaurant serving North Indian cuisine keeping in mind the taste buds of the locals of this city and co-owned by Ashish, Sharad, Surendra and Srinivas. This resto has two separated sections for bar and dine and is quite spacious with its caliginous ambience. The bar area has paintings of Iconic spaces of Mumbai and the fine-dine area has posters of winemaking, kolkata poster and talao pali. Interiors with bright colours. The Vineyard Wall Mocktails : I was with a group of 10 so we started with the Mocktails at the bar. The bartenders were quite enthusiastic to mix multiple options for us and creatively serve it.
