Peshawri at ITC Maratha

Same as Bukhara at Delhi.. Warm welcome and happy smiling faces is what one wants to see when you enter a restaurant that is exactly what I got.. Its Indian decor and dine in style gives an ethnic experience..To eat with hands they have do not provide spoons & fork.. Its said in india a meal is tastier if had using your fingers.. Well spaced seating a lil uncomfortable for me as I got the seats without back support!! They have sofas on one side & cushioned round seats without support on the other.. Here we get an apron to wear instead of napkins.. Let's talk about the food.. The starters: Scrumptious juicy Kebabs which just melts in your mouth.. Perfectly marinated and spiced.. The murgh malai grilled in tandoor and blended with cream cheese. Every bite was creamy..next was Barrah Kebab made of chunks from leg of lamb and lamb chops marinated with malt vinegar and yoghurt and char-grilled over red hot embers.. Seekh Kebab needs no description.. Spiced with royal cumin and saffron .. Grilled over charcoal fire.. Paneer Tikka marinated with cream and ajwain.. The Main Course: Dal Bukhara needs no words to describe.. One of its signature dishes since years, it has no comparison.. Made of whole urad dal cooked n simmered overnight served with unsalted butter.. Murgh Makhani tossed in tomato and cashew gravy served with a swirl of cream n ginger.. Tangy n perfectly spiced.. Desserts weren't exceptional..can easily skip : Ras malai, gulab jamun and kulfi falooda..
